According to the regulation of the Austrian federal government, children up to the age of 6 do not have to wear a mouth and nose protection. People who cannot be expected to wear it for health reasons (e.g. people with chronic respiratory diseases, anxiety disorders or with advanced dementia, children with ADHD, asthma, etc.) are exempt from the MNS obligation. (only valid with medical evidence)

On the slopes a face mask is not necessary.

The gondolas and lifts are ventilated as well as possible. Please ensure ventilation while driving (open windows, open weather protection hood, etc.)

Disinfection possibilities are in the toilet facilities, at the ticket office area and in the ski depots.

All employees who are in direct customer contact either wear mouth and nose protection or are physically separated from the guest by suitable protective measures (e.g. Plexiglas pane).

As in all public transport, mouth and nose protection is required in the gondolas and chairlifts. This means that the gondolas or chairs can also be occupied accordingly (e.g. 8 people in an 8-seater gondola, 6 people in 6-seater armchairs, with the exception of aerial tramways).

Ski amadé lift passes will be reimbursed (depending upon usage) in the case of a Corona lockdown. Further information can be found here >>

Guests will be made aware of the current Corona safety regulations by means of signs and loudspeaker announcements on site.

All lift facilities (cable cars, chairlifts,…) will be regularly disinfected.

All cable cars are public forms of transport and are subject to the same regulations.

The employees of the cable car companies are trained or instructed according to uniform guidelines and regulations about the Corona safety measures.

All employees of the lift companies will be tested for Covid-19 at the beginning of the winter season or when they are hired and then will undergo daily health checks (checking temperature, checking for symptoms). If there is any suspicion, then tests will be carried out immediately and the employees are then to immediately isolate from the company/organisation.

The cable car companies each have one employee who is responsible for planning and implementing measures against Corona.

By using the Contact Tracing APP “STOP CORONA“ of the Austrian Red Cross you are helping to tackle to spread of the Corona virus – it is recommended that you use this.

• Mandatory mouth and nose protection in closed rooms for staff and guests - except at the table
• 1 meter minimum distance between the tables. The minimum distance to guests from other visitor groups must be observed.
• A maximum of 6 people (plus minors) are allowed per visitor group
• Closing time Styria: 01:00 a.m. and Salzburg Province 10:00 p.m.

• No consumption of food and drinks in the immediate vicinity of the issuing point
• In closed rooms, the consumption of food and drinks is only permitted while sitting
• No consumption in front of the bar after closing time
• Self-service is permitted if the risk of infection can be minimized through special hygienic measures

Après ski will not exist in the form known so far. Food and drinks may not be consumed next to the serving point and only while seated. Background music is reduced to room volume.

In addition to the well-known mouth and nose masks, according to the current state of knowledge, multifunctional cloths, buffs, bandanas, ski masks etc. are also possible (mouth and nose must always be completely covered!).

Ski amadé (Hauser Kaibling, Planai, Hochwurzen, Reiteralm, Fageralm, Galsterberg, Ramsau and Dachstein ski region): A mouth and nose protection suitable for winter sports is issued once with every ticket purchase.

Riesneralm: When purchasing a ski ticket, a "Riesneralm tube scarf" can be purchased for EUR 2.00. Without a ski ticket, the scarves are available at the cash desk for EUR 9.00.

The minimum distance of one meter must be observed in the following areas: When queuing at the cash registers, when queuing at the lift stations and at the ski bus stops, in all publicly accessible buildings. This rule also applies if mouth and nose protection is worn.

If it is not possible to maintain a distance of at least one meter due to the number of passengers as well as when getting on and off and in the gondolas and lifts, this can be excepted if a mouth and nose protection is worn.

A face mask must be worn if the minimum distance of one metre cannot be upheld, e.g. for absolutely necessary assistance during snow sports lessons or for assistance after falls (to get up etc.).

Registration of the ski school guests in accordance with the data protection regulations is required.

If possible, courses should be booked online. Please inform yourself on your chosen ski schools’ website or via telephone with regards to the respective use.

In order to make the social distancing rule (1 metre distance) simpler, manageable groups will be selected and this from the very start. Groups should then be kept as they are as best as possible.

The meeting places will be chosen to be as spacious as possible. Course schedules will be planned as far as possible in advance to avoid large group gatherings.

When using cable cars, the regulations of the cable cars must be observed. Please observe the signs and loudspeaker announcements on site.

Please inform yourself in advance with regards to the specific measure on the respective website of the ski schools. In any case, there will be hygienic measures fitting to the age of the children, keeping the social distance, the use of a face mask if it falls short of this, and a lot of time under supervision and moving around outside, whilst maintaining all the necessary hygienic measures.

At the children’s adventure world, toddlers are taught – this means keeping the social distance is not possible. Therefore, the snow sports instructors will wear a face mask, which is suitable for snow sports in order to be able to implement safety measures as quickly as possible.

Employees of the ski schools are trained and instructed in Corona safety measures according to uniform guidelines and regulations.

Ski schools and other related rooms, such as warming-up rooms, kindergartens and restaurants, as well as teaching aids and tools, toys etc. will be disinfected more times a day, depending upon usage.

In children's adventure worlds, children are taught from toddler age - here the distance is automatically exceeded. Therefore, the snow sports instructors will wear a mouth and nose protection suitable for winter sports in order to be able to apply protective measures as quickly as possible.

Snow sports instructors who arrive from abroad must present a negative SARS-COV2 test to the ski school owner upon arrival. Regular SARS-COV2 testing of snow sport instructors and staff who have contact with ski school guests is planned.

Please inform yourself in advance about the specific measures on the respective websites of the ski schools. In any case, care is taken to ensure age-appropriate hygiene, compliance with the minimum distance, the use of mouth and nose protection if this is not reached - and to a lot of exercise and care outdoors while observing all necessary hygiene measures.
